School visits

We welcome schools and student of all ages at the ArtCentre. Here you can investigate the current exhibitions together with our guide, or immense yourself in one of our courses or explore the Sculpture Park on your own.

Throughout the year we show changing Art exhibitons. Read more about our current exhibitions here.

In Skovilla, the old, yellow building in the park, we show a permanent exhibition about the history of Silkeborg Vandkuranstalt and the place's history.

On this page you will find information about our guided tours, courses, or materials for you to walk around on your own.

    Space for movement

Get movement into the school day in a fun way. Our sculpture park is the perfect setting for activity in the classroom, whether you have set aside one or more hours for your visit. You can come on your own with your class and move around as you please.

You can also go on a Sculpture Hunt. The Sculpture Hunt will lead you around the entire park and set up a conversation about the sculptures you encounter along the way.

  • Vitsit in the park

Take care of each other and the art

The sculpture park is open all year round, 24 hours a day. When you are in the park, we expect the Art Center to help take care of the art.

The sculptures in the park are hardy to wind and weather and can also tolerate us carefully feeling with our hands what they are made of. It is not allowed to climb on the sculptures, throw stones or hit them with sticks. This is considered vandalism.

Bad behavior can, in the worst case, lead to damage to both works of art and people.

  • Packed lunches

    Eat outdoors

It is possible for you to eat your packed lunches here during your visit. We encourage you to eat in the park when the weather permits. In our pergola you will find tables and benches.

In cold and bad weather you can eat in the bright and spacious stairwell behind the reception.
