School visits

We welcome schools and student of all ages at the ArtCentre. Here you can investigate the current exhibitions together with our guide, or immense yourself in one of our courses or explore the Sculpture Park on your own.

In Skovilla, the old, yellow building in the park, we show a permanent exhibition about the history of Silkeborg Vandkuranstalt and the place's history.

Sculpture Park

Room for movement

Make movement a part of the school day with a visit to our Sculpture Park. Here you can spend one or many hours exploring the Sculptures. We have desgined a Sculpture hunt, where you students will be led around the park to both old and new sculptures.

Be mindful of each other and the art

Our Sculpture Park is open all year round, 24 h a day. When you visit the park we expect you to help watch out for the sculptures.

The sculptures in the park are robust, in the sense, that they can stand out in alle types of weather, such as rain and wind, but they are sensitive to climbing or being beaten by sticks or rocks.

When you explore the park we ask that you are midful of your surroundings, so we can protect the art for others to explore in the future.

Bad behaviour can in worst case scenario lead to damages both to artworks or humans.

Lunch

Eat out in the open

Your are welcome to enjoy your packed lunches during your visit. We encourage you to eat in the park, when the weather allows it. In our pergola you will find both tables and seating.

In cold or poor weather you can eat indoors. Ask reception about arrangements.

Practical information

Fri entré for skoler og institutioner:

  • Børn og unge under 25 år har fri entré.
  • Alle skoler uanset kommune (0.-10. klassetrin) ifølge med lærer har fri entré.
  • Ungdomsuddannelser fra Silkeborg Kommune har fri entré.
  • Ungdomsuddannelser fra andre kommuner betaler normal entré: børn og unge under 25 år har fri entré, øvrige betaler gruppepris (75 kr.)

Giv os besked om jeres besøg i vores udstillinger på forhånd. Der kan være andre grupper i huset på samme tid, og hvis vi ved, at I kommer, kan vi være med til at sikre, at der er god plads til alle, og at alle får den bedste oplevelse. Vi beder også om at få besked, hvis I planlægger at besøge vores Skulpturpark.

Retningslinjer
Hjælp os med at passe på kunsten. Læs og overhold vores retningslinjer når I besøger os. Gruppens leder bedes aflevere en underskrevet kopi i receptionen, når I ankommer.

Transport

I kan cykle hertil. Vi har god plads til cykelparkering.

Bybus nummer 10 kører næsten til døren – stoppested Kroghsvej/Gjessøvej, 5 minutter gang til KunstCentret.

Hvis I kommer i egen bus: max højde 3,60 meter under broen ved Gjessøvej.
